In fact, the moon itself doesn’t have much influence on creating this energetic cycle, "but the fully-lighted orb of the moon indicates a free and unimpeded alignment between our planet and the sun, the solar center, the energy source for all life on Earth. At such times we can make a definite approach to the Universe/Source/God, the Creator, the center of life and intelligence.

Therefore, the full moon has always been a sacred time for spiritual practices in many ancient religions and cultures.

Meditation in general helps to activate the crown chakra (sahasrara chakra) and bring down greater amounts of divine energy into the system, which even gets stronger in the time of the full moons. Divine energy basically has a consciousness of its own and therefore gradually flushes out negative thoughts, emotions, and energies from the practitioner’s aura and the chakras. The effect is not only improved physical and emotional health, but also clarity of mind, better self-esteem, and greater peace and happiness.
